One of the largest health systems in Missouri is now available to Simpara clients, opening the door for greater access to healthcare services and increased price transparency
St. Louis, Mo. — May 28, 2020 — Simpara, an HR and health benefits advising company in St. Louis, Missouri, announced today a direct-to-employer contract with SSM Health, one of the largest regional health systems in the US.
Simpara restructures employer health benefits offerings using the principles of Health Rosetta, a blueprint for high-performance health benefits. One of their newest tweaks to lower costs is incorporating SSM Health access into plans. Members do not pay a co-pay or any out-of-pocket costs and have greater access to fair, transparent healthcare services and pricing methodologies and improved primary care. They are also able to utilize convenience store clinics and physical therapists.
“Instead of relying on Provider Prefered Organization (PPO) plans, which often result in overpaying for services and low-value outcomes, Simpara clients are now able to cut out the middleman for these transactions,” said Adam Berkowitz, founder and president of Simpara.
We’ve been taught to believe that the traditional network provides great value and discounts, but the charges still amount to 300-400% of what the services actually cost. Simpara and SSM are pulling back the curtain and steering our members to better facilities,”
